Fundamental Skill Requirements
All students are required to demonstrate prior to enrolment with Get Skilled Training (GST) they have the required foundation skills, and in some cases pre-requisite competencies or work experience needed to successfully a course. This may require some applicants to undertake an evaluation to determine if they meet the requirements associated with Learning, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital Literacy.
Each course delivered by GST has different requirements, and our administration staff will provide the associated requirements within a course enquiry email.
Unique Student Identifier(USI)
All students at enrolment with Get Skilled Training must provide their Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. For those students that do not have a USI number and cannot provide evidence they have been granted an exemption from the Australian Government, will be required to apply for a USI number before training commences.
Applications for a USI can be made at USI Applications. There are no cost associated with applying for a USI.
Language Literacy Numeracy (LLN) Proficiency & Digital Literacy
Students will need to meet the recommended levels of LLN proficiency and digital literacy. We encourage students to contact our RTO before enrolling if they have any concerns regarding these skills. If necessary, one of our Trainers will conduct a confidential discussion with the student to assess whether an evaluation of their current LLN proficiency and digital literacy is needed.
If the evaluation indicates that additional support is required, the student will be informed about the types of support our RTO can offer. In some cases, the student may need to seek external assistance to enhance their skills before enrolling and beginning the course.
