This Darwin air conditioning course is delivered across 2 consecutive days of onsite, simulated training, featuring both an online theory component , and a practical component. While the theory is completed in your own time, at your own pace, the practical assessment will get you hands on with expert trainer supervision, allowing you to learn and develop the skills needed to succeed for work in this trade.
Once you have completed both the practical assessment and online theory components, you should be component in installing, commissioning, and decommissioning split system air conditioning systems up to 18kWR. The course will also teaches cutting, deburring, bending, and flaring copper tubing, as well as brazing copper to copper, brass, and steel fittings.

Students who fulfil the prerequisites criteria above can be offered our course, which involves 2 days of practical hands on training with an online theory assessment which can be taken at any time, prior to onsite attendance. If we determine that you are not yet competent, we may require you to be reassessed outside of the planned 2 day course at a different point in time.
Our courses cover the necessary units of competency required for competency in preparing and connecting refrigerant tubing and fittings, evacuating, pressure testing, recovering, charging and leak testing refrigerants in air conditioning split systems. We also ensure you learn how to position, assemble and start up single head split air conditioning and water heating heat pump systems. You will also apply environmentally and sustainable procedures during our onsite training component of this split system course.
If you successful complete both the practical and online theory components of this course, you will satisfy the requirements of the Australian Refrigeration Council to apply for a restricted Refrigerant Handling License, which is also known as a ARC / ARCtick Licence.
Completing this split system course at one of our delivery locations allows you to undertake further studies, including a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32211) or other qualifications listed in the UEE11 Training Package.
