Who Can Enrol in the Gas Work Licence (Hydrocarbon Refrigeration Licence)

This course is being offered to qualified refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics who hold a current unrestricted ARC licence looking to work with hydrocarbon refrigerant.

On successful course completion you will be issued with a statement of attainment for the following units of competency:

  • UEECD0007 – Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace. 
  • UEERA0007 – Apply safety awareness and legal requirements for flammable refrigerants.  
  • UEERA0053 – Install, commission, service and maintain medium temperature system.
  • UEERA0084 – Service and repair self-contained flammable refrigerants air conditioning and refrigeration system.  

With these units of competency and a performance evidence form signed by one of our trainers you will be able to apply for your Gas Work Licence (Hydrocarbon Refrigeration Course) QLD.

Gas Work Licence Course Purpose
(Hydrocarbon Refrigeration Systems)

The Gas Work Licence will allow you to service and repair refrigeration and air conditioning equipment containing A3 hydrocarbon refrigerant. 

 

Course Prerequisites

To take this course, you must be at least one of the following:

  • Hold a current unrestricted ARC licence. 
  • A current restricted electrical licence. 

Course Duration

The practical course is delivered over 1.5 days with an estimated 8 hours required to complete the online theory assessment. Each student is given 3 mouths to complete this course. 

Brisbane Course Cost

The course cost is $895 however, this may increase if additional face to face training and assessment is required.

Please note: An RPL will be granted for UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace and UEERA0053 – Install, commission, service and maintain medium temperature systems as these are both prerequisite units of competency for this course. Students must submit a copy of their full refrigeration and air conditioning licence – RAC01 with ARC for the RPL to be granted.
